EnhanceRx is a male enhancement supplement largely available online. The brand says that its product can result in “stronger and healthier erections” and “improved sexual drive,” among other perks.

But does EnhanceRx contain chemicals that have been shown to have these results in research studies, or are they merely marketing claims? Are the substances properly dosed?

Will EnhanceRx create adverse effects? Does the brand have studies to back up their claims regarding the superiority of their supplement?

In this post, we will answer all of these questions and more by analyzing the chemicals in EnhanceRx using medical studies to determine whether the supplement is likely to be useful for male enhancement or a waste of money.

We’ll talk about side effects, some of the manufacturer’s claims, and some of the constituent doses.

The ingredients in EnhanceRx are shown above.

Niacin is a B-vitamin and we can’t find any clinical evidence it improves sexual function in men.

Zinc was shown to improve testosterone (T) status in men with low testosterone in a medical review published in the Aging Male journal, but the treatment dose was 50 milligrams (mg), while only 15 mg of zinc is contained in each dose of EnhanceRx.

The remaining active ingredients are mostly herbs, and are contained in a proprietary blend totalling 515 mg, or 47 mg per ingredient.

Some of these botanical compounds have been studied for male health and sexual function, but we can’t locate any proof that they work at such a low average ingredient level.

Here are a few examples:

Tribulus terrestris was shown in a 2017 clinical trial to improve sexual function in men with erectile dysfunction (ED), but the format used was an extract (which is more potent than the raw plant material in EnhanceRx), and the daily dose was over 1,000 mg (which is more than 20x the average ingredient dose in EnhanceRx’s prop blend).

Korean red ginseng is an effective natural erectile dysfunction (ED) treatment according to a meta-study published in the British Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, but the lowest dose used in any of the analyzed trials is more than 10x the average ingredient dose in EnhanceRx’s blend.

Overall, we believe EnhanceRx may be beneficial for increasing libido because it contains several research-backed substances. However, we are concerned about the dosage of such components.

We were unable to locate any active ingredient in EnhanceRx that has been clinically proven to be effective at the supplement’s recommended dosage.

The good news about this supplement is that it has no harmful added chemicals.

It is difficult to determine the risk of adverse effects for supplements that have not been clinically studied. We can make an educated guess based on the ingredients, though.

We do not believe EnhanceRx is likely to produce negative effects in otherwise healthy persons. The supplement consists primarily of well-studied herbs and vitamins.

None of the active components are present in high enough concentrations to cause us worry.

Maca is the sole substance we’ve identified as a possible source of moderate negative effects. As we stated in our Semenax review, raw maca, like raw potato starch, is indigestible.

We would choose supplements containing gelatinized maca (which is digestible) over raw maca.

There is no discussion of whether or not EnhanceRx causes side effects on the brand’s website at the time of publishing this article.

Here are the pros and cons of EnhanceRx in our opinion:

  • Safe active ingredients
  • May improve sex drive
  • Safe inactive ingredients

  • Doesn’t appear to be clinically tested
  • Relatively low doses in prop blend
  • Brand makes questionable health claims
  • Contains raw maca
  • Brand fails to discuss side effects of the supplement on their website.
  • Expensive

We have found no proof that EnhanceRx is more effective than any other male enhancement product on the market.

We believe EnhanceRx is a safer supplement than most male enhancement products because it contains well-studied botanical components and vitamins.

The average component dose in the prop blend is low enough to raise concerns regarding efficacy. Most of the clinical trials we found on the listed substances utilized much larger doses than those in this combination.

We do not believe EnhanceRx is likely to produce negative effects in generally healthy persons, though raw maca may cause moderate indigestion.
